Unboxing the Sentey Arches GS-4730 Gaming Headset

The Sentey ships this Arches Gaming headset in a black and red cardboard box. On the front side of the box, you can see the Sentey Arches branding, and at the back side, you can see the core features list of this gaming headset. In the box, you can find the Arches gaming headset stored in the plastic tray. The gaming headset is entirely stored in the vacuum made a plastic tray, and the entire USB Braided cable is tucked below the plastic tray for safety purpose. After you take out the USB Gaming headset, you’ll find the Driver CD for PC and the Instruction Manual inside of the box.

Closer inspection of Arches GS-4730 Gaming Headset

The Arches GS-4730 gaming headset looks like any other gaming headset available in the market, with some design variations. The both of the earcups of the Sentey Arches headset are covered in soft and comfortable foam cover for long time use. Also, the Ear cups are surrounded with the Steel Mesh covering and also with the Built-in Vibration unit in each of the cups. As this is the gaming headset, the Sentey has included the adjustable gaming microphone for communicating with your teammates.

The headband system of the Sentey Arches headset is pretty different. It comes with the spring based headband system, which automatically adjusts to any head size. The spring based headband system is pretty useful and comfortable compared to the traditional sliding system. The signature Sentey Logo is embossed on the headband.

The Both sides of the earcups are covered in the steel mesh. When the headset is plugged into the computer, the both of the ear cups glow in red as there is an illuminated Sentey logo with LED Lights is present behind the steel mesh of the ear cups. The left side ear cup has the adjustable microphone attachment. You can adjust the microphone according to your comfort.

The 2 Meter long Braided cable is made for heavy duty usage, and it is highly durable. The Heavy Duty braided cable has the inline control unit, which is capable of amplifying the sound input and output and has the Sound Control knob for volume adjustment. The control unit has two separate buttons for turning ON and OFF the Microphone and Turning ON and OFF the Built-in Vibration feature.

Testing the Headset

Before connecting this Gaming Headset to the computer, we had to install the required drivers and the customization software that is provided by the Sentey. Once installed the software and also required drivers, we are ready to test this headset.

Once connected, the software automatically recognizes the connected Sentey Arches Gaming headset. As I said earlier, the headset ear cups have the illuminated LED Sentey Logo, which lights up when attached to the computer. Also, the Microphone boom is illuminated with the LED at the end. The light glows only when the Microphone is ON and capturing the voice and not when it is OFF. It’s a very minor but a useful feature.

The Software provided by the Sentey is very straightforward and useful for controlling the sound. With the sound control option for Microphone and speakers, and other useful features like Turning ON and OFF the microphone and Turning ON and OFF the Vibration Mode. The software is lightweight is very simple for customizing the I/O of the headset.

The Built in Vibration feature is what we haven’t discussed. The Built-in Vibration feature is nothing but the Physical bass booster for gaming. When we tested the headphone by playing the Battlefield 4, the Vibration feature just boosted the bass of the audio. The significant bass boosting was noticeable when heard the loud noise of Helicopters. The Built-in Vibration feature is the excellent addition, but we didn’t find it amusing.

Concluding the Review

The Sentey Arches GS-4730 gaming headset receives an applause from my side. This is one of the best gaming headsets that I’ve ever reviewed. At first, I was a little bit skeptical about this gaming headset, because I never heard about the Sentey before. But, after reviewing the headset, I can say that they are the best-in-class headsets.

With the soft cushion around both of the ear cups, soft foam covering around the headbands, the springs to adjust the headbands makes it the most comfortable gaming headset to use for a long time. The development team at the Sentey worked hard to make this headset perfect and took care of minute details like the LED indicator for showing if the Microphone is ON or OFF. The only thing I am missing in this headsets is that they are not noise canceling headphones. The Steel mesh helps us to hear each and everything with the surround sound, but the same steel mesh stops it from being noise-canceling headphone.
